As the November Election draws closer we are going to take a different view on the presidential candidates. Which Luxury Watches are they wearing?

The first candidate we will be looking at is Senator Barack Obama . Here are some pictures where we see Sen Obama’s Watches now we have identified two different ones and are working hard to determine the make and model. We will keep you posted!

    A good picture of one of Obama’s watches is on page 20 of the Sept. 1 issue of Time Magazine. However, I can not so far determine the brand.

    I was unable to see that issue of Time Magazine. However i did see some nice stuff last night in Denver. I will be posting it soon. If there is anything new please post it.

    the smaller watch is a tag-heuer professional 200m, with leather strap.
    check online and imagine brown strap

    The first one with the brown leather strap is definitely a Breitling. The gold riders on the bezel and the gold crown are tell-tale. Not a super expensive watch, sub 4k IIRC.

    The black one in the second picture is more difficult. It is a mechanical chronograph. MIght be something like a Speedmaster (Omega) or a Tag. But the number indexes seem really big, this could speak in favor of Montblanc.

    For the one in the last picture all bets are off, I have no idea. Doesn’t look great I must say.

    After having seen a bigger photo of the first watch I retract my statement. It was indeed the TAG alex was speaking about. It looks like the black one might also be a TAG Heuer based on a thread at watchuseek.

    It is a Choppard Gran Turismo XL – 1000 Miglia.

    This is a sample of a website with a good photo of the watch that Barack wears (in the second photo posted above with him shaking hands with a supporter. I have the same watch in the black tire-tread band.)

    About the black one with the big dial
    The watch is manufactured for the Secret Service store by Jorg Gray, and appears in the Jorg Gray online catalog as the JGC6500 Chronograph. The chronograph is made in China, with a Japanese movement.

    About the brown one
    A careful examination of the available photographs suggests that Barack Obama wore a TAG-Heuer Series 1500 Two-Tone Divers watch, from the early or mid-1990′s until late 2007.
