Carl F. Bucherer receives a royal visit
Written by James Matthews
This past November, Nela König and His Royal Highness Prince Leopold von Bayern visited the Carl F. Bucherer watch workshops in Lengnau. The brand’s ambassadress and the passionate watch enthusiast were fascinated with the traditional handiwork and the personal insight into watch craftsmanship.
Since Fall of 2008, Nela König has been brand protagonist of Carl F. Bucherer. For years, the 37-year-old Berliner has been travelling all over the world as a much in demand photographer, mostly making portraits of world celebrities from the film and music industry. “In a world, where there is an excess of almost every product, a watch company rich in tradition such as Carl F. Bucherer, for whom the highest regard for precision, the greatest technical demands and a self-willed approach are important, is rather unusual”, Nela König explains her new commitment to the Lucerne watchmaker.
As a former racing driver, Prince Leopold von Bayern is fascinated by technical things and an equally passionate watch owner as car enthusiast. “My special passion is chronographs, like the Patravi TravelTec by Carl F. Bucherer. These luxury watches are closely linked to my earlier racing career and remind me of those exciting times.”
Here are some pictures of that exciting event.
