At the end of an extremely close match, “Ellerstina” team won the prestigious cup, beating La Dolfina by 13 goals to 12. Regarded as one of the world’s best polo player, the Reverso Squadra Ambassador Juan Martin Nero, named Most Valuable Player (MVP) symbolises the increasingly close-knit ties between Jaeger-LeCoultre and the world of Polo
Argentine Open
On Saturday December 13th, “Ellerstina” got their most awaited achievement, the Argentine Open. After their third final against Cambiaso’s team, Ellerstina beat La Dolfina 13-12, with a golden goal scored in extra chukker by Gonzalo Pieres. The great match held in front of a large number of people showed collective game, individual talent, emotion and uncertainty till the end.
The Dolfina Jaeger-LeCoultre came to the end with ups and downs during the season but having four titles in the Open over and the best player in the world in court. Ellerstina came with the title of Tortugas. It was the ultimate dream, that both teams, throughout the tournament, deserved to achieve.

Triple Crown 2008, Jaeger-LeCoultre winner of the 3 tournaments
Jaeger-LeCoultre and the Reverso Squadra is once again proclaimed “winner” of the Argentina polo season. Each tournament has been claimed by one of the Reverso Squadra Ambassador.
Tortugas Open, October 2008
Ellerstina (inc. Juan Martin Nero) beat la Aguada (Eduardo Novillo Astrada) 13-9 and claimed the Tortugas Open, the first tournament of the Triple Crown.
Hurlingham Open, November 2008
La Aguada (Eduardo Novillo Astrada) played and won the Hurlingham Open, second tournament in this 2008 triple crown season.
Argentine Open, December 2008
Ellerstina (Juan Martin Nero) beat La Dolfina (Adolfo Cambiaso) 13-12 and claimed the Abierto, the most important in the world, and last one of the Triple Crown
