At the end of an extremely close match, “Ellerstina” team won the prestigious cup, beating La Dolfina by 13 goals to 12. Argentine Open
On Saturday December 13th, “Ellerstina” got their most awaited achievement, the Argentine Open. After their third final against Cambiaso’s team, Ellerstina beat La Dolfina 13-12, with a golden goal scored in extra chukker by Gonzalo Pieres. The great match held in front of a large number of people showed collective game, individual talent, emotion and uncertainty till the end.

The Dolfina Jaeger-LeCoultre came to the end with ups and downs during the season but having four titles in the Open over and the best player in the world in court. Ellerstina came with the title of Tortugas. It was the ultimate dream, that both teams, throughout the tournament, deserved to achieve.

Juan Martin Nero and the Pieres (Gonzalo, Facundo and Pablito) : these top-class champions are the special emissaries of the brand and bear eloquent testimony that the values of sport and polo are more closely than ever entwined with those of the Manufacture Jaeger-LeCoultre.

Jaeger-LeCoultre and the Reverso Squadra is once again proclaimed “winner” of the Argentina polo season. Each tournament has been claimed by one of the Reverso Squadra Ambassador.

Ellerstina (inc. Juan Martin Nero) beat la Aguada (Eduardo Novillo Astrada) 13-9 and claimed the Tortugas Open, the first tournament of the Triple Crown.

Brooks Brothers normally known for their custom suits has repeatedly ventured into new markets. Now they wish to foray into the luxury watch market with the Brooks brother big date chronograph. This beautiful watch Features a 43mm stainless steel case features a sapphire crystal and is water resistant to 50 meters. The Movement is a quartz Ronda STARTECH caliber.

Jack Forster has written an excellent article on mechanical watches. It all began in 1757, a young watchmaker named Pierre Jaquet-Droz, from the town of La Chaux-de-Fonds in the Swiss Jura, undertook a long and hazardous journey from Switzerland to Madrid. Jaquet-Droz, who later became the celebrated creator of some of the 18th century’s most spectacular automata (robot-like figurines capable of executing complex movements, such as writing and playing musical instruments), brought with him six clocks, which he presented, after a month-and-a-half-long journey and another five months’ wait for an appointment, to the King and Queen of Spain. The risky and expensive trip was a resounding success. We now have large amounts of luxury watches now that enjoy these gains.

The case is done in 18kt gold and stainless steel and measures 39mm. The caseback features an engraved Great Wall of China motif.

Movement is the automatic AP caliber 3123 with power reserve and moonphase complication.

A. Lange & Sohne - Richard Lange Pour le Merite  This Limited Edition of 50 Pieces in Platinum and 200 Pieces in 18kt Rose Gold. The case measures 40.5mm x 10.5mm. It has a sapphire crystal and is water resistant to 30 meters. The dial is enamel with blued steel hands. This luxury watches movement Movement is the manual wind Lange in-house caliber L044.1 with fusee and chain transmission, decorated and assembled by hand. It has 33 jewels, beats at 21,600 bph and has a power reserve of 36 hours. The movement consists of 279 parts (the chain set-up has 636 parts). The leather strap is crocodile with a Lange buckle in platinum or rose gold.

Rolex Group, the Swiss luxury watchmaker, said Chief Executive Officer Patrick Heiniger resigned for “personal” reasons after 16 years in the post.

Heiniger will leave Rolex at the end of the year, the Geneva-based company said in a statement late yesterday. Heiniger replaced his father Andre in 1992.
