Corum Admiral’s Cup Challenge 44 Black & Gold

Written by Chuck Peterson

Corum has added two new watches to its Admiral’s Cup sports collection in PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) black or gray, in limited editions of 188 and 128 pieces respectively. These two new pieces feature a bezel and a crown of 18kt rose gold and simple dial colors (black or dark gray), supported by golden appliques of rose gold for the chronograph counters and faceted hour markers.

Measuring 44mm, these models features PVD-black or gray metal in a hardness of 1,300 Vickers. This treatment has also been applied to the chronograph pushers, which increases the intensity of color, and enhances the contrast with the rose gold crown.

These gold watches feature a vulcanized rubber strap with a folding buckle. The dial is protected by a sapphire crystal. Hands are also done in 18kt gold. Movement is the automatic Corum caliber CO753, which is COSC certified as a chronometer, with 27 jewels and a power reserve of 42 hours.

They are water resistant to 100 meters.
