Traditional movements
If Gerald Genta is a famous brand that makes bold all extravagance in dress watches, however, it is more respectful of traditional watchmaking. As evidenced by the bill’s movement within the luxury watch authentic, with furnishings and finishes still largely handmade. Among them, ringtones are included last bastion of art in its purest form. While any size is now industrialized, and therefore reproducible in identical whatever the predefined criteria, necessarily requires a tone of manual retouching. Finally, the rate or regularity in milliseconds is checked at intervals defined between each hour (628 ms), each shift (427 ms), and every minute (509 ms). The objective is to maintain continuity with the harmonious sounds distinctly visible. Through these measures, totally independent of each other, Major Gerald Genta ringtones are now of equal quality. The alterations of the watch are always necessary but they converge on common criteria, guaranteeing a unique melody. It takes an average of a dozen successive checks to get the desired result.
Superior
Each large ring reacts in its own way, depending on the volume occupied by the movement in the box and it includes recesses, selected materials and processing, power hammers and a myriad of details such as quality screws, joints and welds. As many points as Gerald Genta reviewed to achieve the current level of perfection and so many little secrets it wants to preserve. Note however that the stamps are now attached to the middle part of the case and not the movement, which has the effect of increasing the volume. Having reached the summit of the control mechanism of its high tone, Gerald Genta wished to offer a setting tailored specifically developed to sublimate his musicality. To do this, it has a software developed in collaboration with a French university, able to analyze all kinds of materials. She reached a testing system that reflect the density, elastic modulus and coefficient of loss, physical parameters in determining the distribution of sound, which must be as low as possible.
First parameter to take into account the density must be less than 5. However, among the metals most commonly used in watchmaking, only the titanium meets this requirement. Its density is half as high as that of steel, which is half as high as that of the white gold. In terms of modulus of elasticity, estimated premium when it falls below 100 GPa (GigaPascal), white gold and titanium are close to the threshold when the steel it away twice.
