Glashütte Original donates a unique model to Italian cancer research

The famous words “going, going, gone..” will be uttered on 26th November in Milan for the second time in a row on behalf of a good cause.
Within the framework of National Cancer Research Day, the second watch auction will take place for the benefit of the Italian cancer research organisation AIRC. A total of forty different individual models from renowned watch manufacturers will be auctioned.
This is the second time that Glashütte Original, the watch manufactory from Saxony, is donating a unique timepiece for the benefit of cancer research.
This year it is a PanoMaticReserve XL.
Dynamic design and progressive flair are the essential features of this model. The dial, embedded in a stainless steel case measuring 42 mm and with a black PVD-coating, presents a clear and balanced display.
The PanoMaticReserve XL design is dominated by impressive features in the contrasting colour of neon yellow. The hour and minute display, characterized by superimposed silver numerals, is subdivided, just like the small second display, by a yellow, printed fine division.
An absolute eye-catcher – the power reserve display, in dynamically luminous yellow, on the plain, decentrally designed dial is particularly impressive, just like the typical Glashütte Original Panorama date, in which both date dials are on a single level. Secure wrist grip is guaranteed by a black Trieste strap with a PVD-coated buckle incorporating neon yellow stitching.
It is the company’s own automatic mechanical movement 90-03 which makes the PanoMaticReserve XL tick. In keeping with the style of the Glashütte Original manufactory, the movement is also elegantly decorated and finished.
One thing is already certain – the future owner of this exceptional model will not only be making a statement with what he wears on his wrist, but will also be setting a shining example in the fight against cancer.
