Jennifer is hardly your average, everyday actress. She’s the epitome of how hard work pays off. Being in an age where many people become celebrities through appearance or acquaintances, Jennifer Hudson’s ascent to greatness came the old-fashioned, conservative way: through talent, hard work and a close-knit family. So it’s only befitting that our A-Lister should be wearing nothing less than the best!

What a beautiful ring! It’s a lot less gaudy than some of the other celebrity rings out there, but still very extravagant–a stunning (5-carat!) diamond and the platinum setting is very classy to say the least. I’d argue that platinum is just a trend, though…it actually has a lot of practical benefits, such as durability, and has been popular for ages. It probably just seems like a trend because more people are buying it now since the cost is lower than usual.
