Luxury Watch Makers honored at BaselWorld 2009

As we have reported and the readers of two large German luxury watch magazines have answered. The question, What is the top watch of 2009?

Fine watches are especially popular with European consumers, so much so, as that the national German-language newspaper Welt am Sonntag (The World on Sunday) and the magazine ArmbandUhren (Wristwatches) annually poll their readers for their own choices for “Watch of the Year’. This is also seen as the annual sales of European watches top American watches by 7 to 10 percent annually. The winners, from dozen of nominees, in both men’s and women’s watches, were announced by Peter Braun, editor of ArmbandUhren, and honored Thursday at a crowded gala at BaselWorld 2009, in Basel, Switzerland, the world’s largest watch trade fair.
