The TIMER BLUE, latest achievement FPJourne proposes a new approach to high precision purified, properties with impeccable timing.

The TIMER BLUE innovates with a box of 39 mm. performed for the first time in tantalum, a rare metal tone anthracite slightly bluish. Tantalum is a metal fabulous and rarely used in watchmaking because it is hard and difficult to work with a very high melting temperature to 3,000 degrees and a density of 16.3. Tantalum is also valuable because it offers a perfect resistance to corrosion and wear.

In perfect harmony with the color of the box, the dial has been redesigned in a spirit trend in blue chrome. Needles FPJourne, coupled with large numbers of Arabs cream, mark the hours, while the second guilloche at 7.30 shows the effect of mirror dial.

The key lies in the heart of its exceptional movements, so FPJourne is the only Manufacturer in the world to achieve its movements exclusively in 18ct rose gold. Signed to their label and Invenit Fecit they are guarantors of a class manufacturing exclusive, invented, manufactured and assembled entirely in the workshops of the factory at the center of Geneva. For TIMER BLUE, Augustus maxim watchmakers FPJourne is persistently observed: each shows his watch.

Through the transparent background, the balance and escapement are mysteriously seconded the motion, beating the impellers apparent. FPJourne put the cog in the face, leaving only the center wheel to highlight the splendid isolation of the pendulum.

The mechanical movement with manual winding chronometer BLUE oscillates at a rate of 21,600 alternations per hour. Two barrels, according to the standard configuration of precision watches, operate in parallel to provide a stable force for the greater part of its total autonomy of 56 hours. The pendulum chronometer without racket FP Journe, variable inertia weight over four placed in opposition, undergoes dynamic setting in six different positions.

F.P.Journe, with its distinctive label – Invenit et Fecit, (invented and made) stamped on all watches of the collection certify an exclusive calibre, invented, manufactured and assembled   entirely in the workshops of its Manufacture in the centre of Geneva. It vouches an authentic and innovative horology in the whole of its conception and symbolises the fundamental values of haute horlogerie.

F.P.Journe is mastering the measurement of time with the first ultra-slim minute repeater and once again raises the bar for striking watches. He has re-invented the minute repeater mechanism in a way which enables strong crystal clear tones to emanate from a seemingly impossibly svelte movement, with a size of barely 4mm, more reminiscent of a simple hand wound calibre than a highly intricate and complex complication.

Two key technical developments have enabled François-Paul Journe to construct a sweet sounding ultra-slim repeater movement. The first is the flat gong, first seen on the F.P. Journe Grande Sonnerie, which produces a louder and clearer sound than traditional gongs. And because the gong is mounted under the dial, instead of around the movement, it allows more room for the movement.

The second is an innovative system of striking racks and strike selection mechanisms which take up much less space than conventional strike mechanisms. These redevelopments have merited the application of two patents.

The new OCTA Perpetual Calendar collections from FP Journe is a limited edition of 99 pieces …

In 2001, the collection FP Journe OCTA – composed of mechanical self-winding wristwatches with a unique power reserve of more than 5 days (120h) with all models they all have the same thickness, regardless of the complication. It was quite a technical challenge to insert all the complications of OCTA collection in the same space.

The OCTA PERPETUAL, the 8th creation of this collection is a perfect name and enriches the collection of self-winding caliber signed FP Journe-Invenit and Fecit. The master watchmaker completed the new challenge and managed to insert this time a perpetual calendar in the same space without an increase in space.
