Luxury Watch Safe

Monday, September 22nd, 2008

We love our Luxury Watches however when we need to keep them safe we store them in a “Safe” (Lock-box Jewelery Box or what ever you want to call it). Now Bentley has come with a safe exclusively for Luxury Watches! There are only 400 so we hope to store our Luxury Movado Watches there soon.

For some, possessing a watch is as simple as strapping it on the wrist to keep a tab on time. For others, it’s a passion to collect the best of the timepieces. Succumbing to this luxurious addiction for high-end watches is one thing, and taking care of them is another. To make things simple, Stockinger has teamed up with Bentley to come up with a line of safes, exclusively designed to house your pricey collection of timepieces. And even if you aren’t an ardent watch collector, the mere presence of the brand name Bentley will thrill all the Bentley fans to, at least, take a look at the safes. The “Arnage” edition is intended specifically for watches and is highlighted with built-in high-tech watch winders for timepieces belonging to a line of “Breitling for Bentley” and the kind.

There are only 400 cabinets on offer and you can opt for any of the trademark Bentley shades. The wood and the leathered interiors bump up its elegant and timeless appeal.

Calling out to all the watch aficionados, this is the most stylish and secured cabinet to safeguard your ticking collection!

Why are Luxury Watches So Expensive

Thursday, August 7th, 2008

When Luxury Watches are manufactured there are many things associated with cost.

1. Research and Development

Watch Example

All watches have complex movements some that are on the cutting edge of technology.

There are different types of movement and all are very complex. These movement have precious stones (Ruby’s etc..) in them

some are made of precious medals. The manufacturing process is very complex because they need to be very small and very complex and therefore require special machinery. There are a few unique watches that stand out with the complexity of their movements and therefore are very expensive. However all watches hold complex movements.

Watch Review Seiko Sumo Mini

Wednesday, July 23rd, 2008

The Seiko Sumo is one of those watches that is so impressive any complaints or design preferences are just minor wishes. I wish it looked more like this, etc. Considering the cost of the watch I can honestly say you will not find another watch as well made with as much bang for the buck as this watch has. This is one of those rare cases where you ask how can they do it? I will try to give a brief review of the Sumo and it differences and similarities to its $1200 more expensive brother. If you like dive watches and yu do not own it yet all I can say is why?

The Sumo has many style similarities to the MM and also many diferences. The styling differences I mostly like better on the MM. For example the dial is the same except for the hands and markers. The dial is the same. The markers are silver and luminous is painted perfectly on top which resembles the large filled or encased MM markers. I prefer the MM markers but the Sumo does have a very nice look. The hands of the MM are simply awesome and unique. The hands on the Sumo are very big and I think larger than the MM which makes reading the watch very easy. Also the luminous fill on the hands is perfect. I have had many watches (Seiko’s included) where the fill is not even and there are dark spots or lines. This is not so with the Sumo. The Lume is awesome. The flat black dial is very nice and again akin to the MM with less writing which I prefer.
