The Hublot Big Bangs of July 2009

Written by James Matthews

BLACK_PINK_BANGAs July closes we want to reflect on two new Hublot Big Bang Watches (more like two new color combination’s) that Hublot has released. The Hublot Black Pink big bang and the Big Bang All Black II. We saw and held these watches at BaselWorld 2009 and although they were quite heavy and bulky we still liked them.

Pink and Black … or the Black Pink Bang. A nearly legendary name, a story of romance, a fiery pairing! Enchanting and contrasting, this model with a sparkling pink bezel surrounding a matt uniform dial reveals a contemporary yet classic elegance. With its pink alligator and rubber strap running through the black ceramic case crowned with sapphires, it brilliantly expresses the Art of Fusion of materials and colors!

The new masterpiece of the All Black collection has completely invisible visibility! Even its wristlet, which for the first time is manifested entirely in ceramic. Hublot has achieved a world first, with the creation of an articulated wristlet wrought from black ceramic and micro-blasted for a uniformly matt finish. An intimate watch whose time is concealed from others’ view… In a blend of matt tones from case to dial, all that can be
seen is black!
